Comprehensive veterinary care

Our Services

From routine check-ups to complex surgery — everything your pet needs under one roof in Wheelers Hill.

🩺

Health Checks & Wellness Exams

Regular health checks are the cornerstone of preventive care. Our comprehensive wellness exams assess your pet's weight, teeth, eyes, ears, heart, and overall condition. We recommend annual checks for adult pets and bi-annual checks for seniors.

💉

Vaccinations

Protect your pet from serious and potentially fatal diseases. We offer core vaccinations for dogs (C3/C5) and cats (F3), as well as lifestyle vaccinations based on your pet's individual risk. We'll set up a personalised vaccination schedule.

✂️

Desexing & Surgery

Our experienced surgeons perform a full range of procedures including desexing, lump removals, orthopaedic surgery, and soft tissue surgery. We use modern anaesthetic protocols and provide thorough post-operative care.

🦷

Dental Care

Dental disease affects 80% of pets over 3 years old. We offer dental health checks, professional scaling and polishing under anaesthesia, and extractions when needed. Good dental health improves your pet's quality of life significantly.

Microchipping

Microchipping is a legal requirement in Victoria for dogs and cats. The quick, virtually painless procedure takes just minutes and provides permanent identification, dramatically increasing the chance of reunion if your pet is lost.

💊

Parasite Prevention & Control

Year-round protection from fleas, ticks, heartworm, and intestinal worms is essential in Melbourne's climate. We'll recommend the most effective and convenient parasite control programme for your pet's lifestyle.

🔬

Pathology & Diagnostics

We offer in-house blood tests, urinalysis, and cytology for rapid results. For more complex cases, we work with specialist veterinary pathology laboratories to ensure accurate diagnosis and the best treatment outcomes.

📷

Digital X-Ray & Ultrasound

Our digital radiography and ultrasound equipment allows us to diagnose internal conditions quickly and accurately, without the need for referral in most cases. This means faster answers and faster treatment for your pet.

🐕

Puppy & Kitten Care

Give your new family member the best possible start. We offer first puppy and kitten consultations, vaccination schedules, desexing advice, nutrition guidance, and behaviour tips.

Service questions

Common Questions About Our Services

Not sure what your pet needs? Here are answers to the questions we hear most often.

Yes — we see all breeds of dogs and cats, from tiny Chihuahuas to giant Great Danes, and from domestic shorthairs to Maine Coons. If your pet has breed-specific health concerns (such as brachycephalic issues in Bulldogs or Persians), our vets are experienced in managing these conditions.
Your vet will discuss all treatment options with you, including whether surgery is necessary, what the procedure involves, the expected recovery time, and the associated costs. We never recommend surgery unless it is the most appropriate option for your pet's health. You'll always have time to ask questions and make an informed decision.
All dogs in Australia should receive core vaccinations against distemper, hepatitis, and parvovirus (C3). Depending on your dog's lifestyle, we may also recommend kennel cough (Bordetella and parainfluenza) vaccination, which is required by most boarding kennels and groomers. We'll tailor a vaccination schedule to your dog's individual needs.
Core vaccinations for cats protect against feline herpesvirus, calicivirus, and panleukopenia (F3). For cats that go outdoors or live in multi-cat households, we may also recommend vaccination against feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). We'll discuss the right protocol for your cat's lifestyle.
We generally recommend desexing dogs and cats between 5 and 6 months of age, before they reach sexual maturity. However, for large and giant breed dogs, there is growing evidence that waiting until 12–18 months may be beneficial for musculoskeletal development. We'll discuss the best timing for your specific pet at their consultation.
For most surgical procedures, your pet will need to fast from midnight the night before (no food, but water is usually fine). We'll give you specific pre-operative instructions when you book. Please bring your pet in at the time we request, and plan to leave them with us for the day. We'll call you when they're ready to go home.
